Political and social commentator and author Lenny McAllister (of “Hip Hop Republican” notoriety) will be one of 5-7 select panelists participating in “Young & Black In America: Empowering the Next Generation of African American Leaders,” a panel discussion hosted by CNN & The Root during Congressional Black Caucus Weekend in the nation’s capital.

Lenny McAllister has finaly released his first book “Diary of a Mad Black PYC (Proud Young Conservative): Editorials, Essays, and Articles from a Hip Hop Republican.” According to Lenny the book was released today, July 20, in honor of his father. McAllister said in a statement that “He consistently pushed us in education.”

North Carolina political and social activist Lenny McAllister will appear on a panel with CNN pundit Roland Martin and White House Correspondent Suzanne Malveaux on Anderson Cooper 360 this evening at 10 PM EST
