Washington Needs to Develop Listening Skills

image

The big issue now is health care reform. The more President Obama makes his case for government overhaul, the more resistance he faces from the American people. More than 86% of Americans are satisfied with their health care and more people are opposed to government interference. Does there need to be health care reform? No doubt. Health care reform needs to be made without endangering the private sector or state rights. The White House and Congress needs to listen to the voices of employers and small business owners who are in danger of falling victim to the governments demands. Employers could be faced with the devastating option of decreasing benefits to the employees or increasing the cost. With the government overhaul, the risk that taxpayers face is that the quality of health care will not totally be sufficient. If the government really wants health care reform, once again, they need to listen to the voices of the people.

My Greatest Confession, Is Barack Obama My President?

The Supreme Court made the final decision on which the President was….. George W. Bush was declared the winner and so he moved into the White House. As he moved in half the country checked out. They proclaimed ‘He is not my President.’ And hatred against the man has ensued ever since and call me a skeptic but I doubt it will end. It was this discourse that I believe more than anything else hurt this country

By  Lenny McAllister
America will celebrate a very special Black History Month this February. After all, the 80th birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. passed in January. The GOP elected Michael Steele as the first Black man to lead the Republican National Committee. And, of course, how can we forget the Inauguration of Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the United States?
Well, for many African-Americans throughout the Nation, there is only one better way to celebrate the beginning of Black History Month.
Steelers 27, Cardinals 23. A championship for Coach Mike Tomlin.
Thought that I was talking about America? No, …

Questioning Obama’s Judgment?

If Obama is for change, might I suggest Mitt Romney for Secretary of Commerce.  This would keep the Republicans at bay for a while and bring a much needed voice of business success to the table.

Dr. Ada M. Fisher
What was once considered change is certainly becoming more entranced as “Clinton-lite.”  The choice of Leon Panetta for CIA Director should certainly brings into question whether Obama is truly ready for prime time foreign policy and national security as well as due domestic diligence.  Given the unsettled world stage where terrorism reigns supreme, we definitely don’t need a CIA director who needs …
