Cleo E. Brown: No Auschwitz in the USA!

A Rebuttal to Alternative Right Magazine

auschwitz

By Cleo E. Brown

I graduated Suma Cum Laude in 1984 from a California State College. I was not, therefore, an affirmative action student when I studied as a graduate student on The UC Davis Campus. Invariably, however, the Caucasian students on campus always thought that I had been an affirmative action admit and, consequently, treated me as though I had less of an intellectual right to study on the campus than they did. I will never forget the Friday afternoon when a fellow graduate student (female) would not initially acknowledge my hello. As an after thought, she told me that none of the other students were permitted to speak with or to study with me.

I was the only African-American in my program. Upon graduation from Davis I filed a complaint of racial and gender discrimination after one of my professors told me why I was not to be awarded my Ph.D. along with my M.A. despite having submitted both a Thesis and a Dissertation. According to Professor Goodman, my focus on African-American females as a topic of study did not excite the all male members of my committee. They would grant me my Masters Degree but not my Doctorate. The Office of Equal Rights, however, which had become a powerless, toothless, and an ineffectual organization by 1990, did not decide in my favor.

I was told that had my complaint involved only charges of racial discrimination my chances of winning the dispute would have been greater. Since, however, my complaint included charges of gender discrimination, which was more difficult to prove, I had lost. What followed me, subsequently, into the workplace as well as into my private life was racial harassment to the extent that I resigned both my full and my part-time jobs, packed my two children into an automobile, and moved permanently from the state. Needless to say, therefore, that despite not having been an affirmative action student myself , I recognize the need for affirmative action especially when there is a history of discrimination . I also support anti-discrimination laws.

In “The Siren Song of Diversity” in Alternative Right Magazine Richard Weissberg takes to task United States’ Attorney General Eric Holder and The EEOC for strengthening the protections against discrimination which our Government provides. Although these protections, as they are currently in place, protect not only African-Americans and Hispanics but also Caucasians, Asian-Americans, and others , Weissberg in his mistaken belief that African-Americans and Hispanics need to be professionally neutered see as expendable those Whites and Asians who stand to gain from tougher discrimination regulations and laws.

Similarly, in “Why an Alternative Right is Necessary”, Editor Richard Hoste asks for the repeal of anti-discrimination laws. I am certain that Mr. Hoste realizes that without protection from these anti-discrimination laws that people of color including Asians and other minority groups might be victimized .

Which, ironically, is the premise of Alternative Right Magazine ! For this magazine not only preaches “White Supremacy” as well as the inferiority of the other races based upon what they term “biological diversity”, but Alternative Right also promotes the idea of a United States which has no room or place for its ethnic groups.

Alternative Right promotes a rhetoric which is reminiscent of Adolph Hitler’s philosophy concerning European Jews prior to and during World War II. I have always believed that in The United States African-American People were treated in the same manner as Hitler treated the Jews during World War II.

At least six million Jews died in Concentration Camps in Europe during WWII at Hitler’s instigation. His attacks against Jews began with an economic basis as well as a psychological/intellectual motive. In the beginning Hitler, like The Alternative Right was all talk. While I support the right of the writers of Alternative Right to exercise their First Amendment Free Speech Right, I would consider myself negligent if I did not address, in writing, my need to tell these people that they are way out of line!

For Alternative Right is suggesting that the controls which have been put into place by Government to protect not only people of color and particularly Blacks(given The African-American’s History of being racially abused and victimized in the United States), but also immigrants, the handicapped, women, and the elderly be taken away so that superior feeling people who want the United States for themselves exclusively can victimize, perhaps to the extent of extermination, hapless African-Americans and Hispanics (Mexicans). And, unfortunately, Alternative Right is obsessed with the idea of Arian Superiority.

  2. Cleo Brown - in fact the “leader” of “Alternative Right” Richard Spencer published and praised his defense by the Virginia-based white nationalist, anti-Semitic group Occidental Dissent. Moreover, the “Alternative Right” leader Richard Spencer is a fan of the “American Third Position” (A3P) whose leader, “Bill” Johnson, calls for a “Pace Amendment” disenfranchising blacks and deporting them from America, repealing the 14th and 15th amendments to the U.S. Constitution. Not surprisingly A3P’s Johnson has promoted this to Neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups like the Aryan Nations and the National Alliance.

  3. But the real question is what percentage white are you?

  4. Actually, the Alt Right is most likely not into the Arian heresy of old, so I’d be interested in your sources on such a claim. I don’t believe they’re Mormons, but if that is your point, then I suppose that I can agree that Mormonism is Arianism repackaged.

  5. Cleo,

“For this magazine not only preaches “White Supremacy” as well as the inferiority of the other races based upon what they term “biological diversity.”

For the sake of helping me better understand your position, would you mind clarifying the above statement? Specifically, are you claiming that discussing Human Biodiversity and specifically the Hereditarian Hypothesis — the Hypothesis that there is a partial genetic etiology to the well researched inter-racial IQ gap — is ipso facto White Supremacist, or, for that matter, racist? Or, are you claiming that the Altright is White Supremacist and/ or racist and their discussion of Human biodiversity and the Hereditarian hypothesis is colored by this?

Also, would you mind clarifying what you mean by ‘White Supremacy’? And for that matter ‘inferior’? Perhaps some of the confusion here is because no one is stipulating what they mean by the worlds they use.

  6. “Arian” is actually a valid alternative spelling, although “Aryan” is much more common of course.

The politically correct disingenuousness of contemporary racists is something to behold. They’ve got plenty of chutzpah, I’ll give them that. They whimper and snivel when accused of racism after spewing the most vicious anti-black and anti-Jewish defamation. (The Jewish ‘white nationalists’ are even more LAughable.) Be manly; don’t be a cringing coward about your beliefs, you white supremacists (I’m sorry, white nationalist is the PC term), fascists (radical traditionalists), and pseudoscientific racists (human biodiversity). Let your freak flag fly, disciples of Madison Grant, Julius Evola, and the rest of the eugenicist/fascist kook pantheon.

  7. If present trends persist, our people face genetic extinguishment. There is nothing you can say, no vulgar, third-hand recitation of Frankfurt Schoolian Jewish genocidalist trash that you can make, which can trump the absolute necessity that our people live. Better the world burn to ashes than our people die. You have no say, precisely none, it what we will do to secure our survival. We very being is our inalienable property, you best remember that.

  8. Anti-hbd, you’re half right. Yes, much of what passes for ‘hbd’ is racists’ ham-fisted attempt at intellectualizing their propaganda. On the other hand, facts are facts, and acting in ignorance of them can’t help but have consequences. ‘The racists’ are also correct that modern society is essentially anti-white, and they’re also correct that racial/ethnic diversity is the furthest thing from a ’strength.’ Forget about what whites think of diversity for a moment: how do the so-called ‘people of color’ experience it? They dislike and distrust each other as much as any white racist ever disliked or distrusted them. This suggests to me that something should be done about it; if it’s not a strength, then why proceed on the basis that it is? If something is to be done about it, then obviously one would want to consider what the facts of ‘hbd’ say about race. Lastly, eugenics, understood as the desire to increase the average quality (be it intellectual, behavioral, physical) of a population (saying nothing about the value of any one particular individual in that population), isn’t the least bit ‘kooky’. The possibility that cruel coercive means might be employed toward such eugenic ends can be frightening and is a legitimate cause for concern — but in truth it’s the only cause for concern; perhaps reading a book like Nicholas Agar’s “Liberal Eugenics” can allay some of your doubts and fears.

  11. AntiHBD,

Maybe you could answer my question, above posed.

  12. “Arian” is actually a valid alternative spelling, although “Aryan” is much more common of course.

No it’s not. It’s not even close.

Marxist retards don’t think things through. At least an attempt could’ve been made to write in proper English, rather than Ebonics. .

  13. This comment is in response to questions posed by “Lesacre” on March 18th, 2010. When I use the term “White Supremist” I am referring to those people who think that they are better than other racial groups because they are white. When I use the term “inferior” I am referring to a term applied to a person, a group of people, an animal, a place, or a thing to denote a “lowly or inferior caste position” in the Universe. I am saying that as presented in Alternative Right that the writers of this publication are trying to make a strong case on behalf of the superiority of the Caucasion race (particularly Europeans) and the inferiority or lowly caste position of the darker races (particularly African-Americans and Mexicans) based upon their understanding of bio-diversity. What I write is not based upon the truth, rather what I write is based upon the Alternative Right’s misinterpretation of valid or invalid research to promote a biased point of view. The fact remains that Alternative Right most assuredly does use bio-diversity to promote a Supremist Ideology . By the way, I don’t usually rebut or respond to comments. Your comments, however, seemed so defensive in support of bio-diversity and the negative manner in which bio-diversity research is used (i.e. culturally biased IQ Data) that I thought that I would let you know that I have studied Race, Education, Politics, American Government, and American and European Intellectual History. I know what I am talking about. My teachers, especially Eugene Lunn Ph.D. , Austin Ahonotu Ph.D., Roland Marchand Ph.D.,Paul Goodman Ph.D., and Clarence Walker Ph.D., would be happy to see that I have made the connection between Alternative Right’s rhetoric and a similar rhetoric promoted in Europe from 1926 thru 1944 although the “Inferior caste groups” are different. And, of course, I believe that the battle is won if Alternative Right and its associates will not, in an up front manner, accept ownership for its ideas!

  14. The racist creeps spilling over here are probably coming from Occidental Dissent, an antisemitic white nationalist website. Their mindset is essentially the same as Alternative Right, with less of the PC jargon and slickness in web design. Majority Rights is another one. Sites with even less genteel pretension are the more familiar Stormfront, Vanguard News Network, Creativity Movement et al. American Renaissance is like Alt Right, OD, and MR, but without coming down firmly on the all-important (for white nationalists) Jewish Question.

The other major brand of HBD advocates are libertarian racists (NOT all or most libertarians). The latter tend to be interested in transhumanism (in keeping with the pro-eugenics sentiment, but from an individualist rather than statist standpoint) and ‘Game’ AKA pick up artistry with a bogus veneer of evolutionary science. There are a few Asians and Jews represented in this group; hence the use of the acronym NAM (for ‘non-Asian minority’) for the ethnicities that they loathe. A common tactic of libertarian racists to feign a stance of objective scientific curiosity on HBD. But their agenda quickly becomes quite clear. It also soon becomes obvious that they know very little except about genetics, development, the brain etc. except for some shopworn talking points and citation of tenured eugenists. And they confuse highly speculative and empirically flimsy explanatory models with objective facts.

A number (not all) of the producers of HBD material are open eugenicists and white nationalists, including JP Rushton, Richard Lynn, and Kevin MacDonald. The noisiest consumers of this product is the HDB blogosphere, notably Steve Sailer (who is responsible for hijacking once-legitimate term ‘human biodiversity’) and admirers, and racists at think tanks, notably Charles Murray and Jason Richwine. So, to answer your question, Lesacre, much HBD literature is both produced and consumed by racists with an ideological agenda, whether neofascist or some kind of racialist libertarianism.

  15. Typo: Second to last sentence in the second paragraph should read: “… they know very little about genetics, development, the brain etc. except for some shopworn …”

You don’t sound like a cruel person to me but you do sound woefully ignorant of history. Try thinking outside the box you’ve been *educated* in. Read Dr.Tony Martin, read Thomas Dalton, ask yourself why Soljenitsyne has fallen from favor, are these three men racist? Stop doing what the masters groomed you for, think for yourself and your own people.

  18. AntiHBD,

You seem to think that merely by a methodical enunciation of the well-worn bromides and smears of Jewish paternity that you have the power to shame us into submission. No. You come up against a brick wall when attempting that with me. Our continued existence, our genetic continuity, needs no justification and is an end unto itself. And if you challenge that, even one bit, essentially implying we need provide justification that suits your taste that you would concede us life, you have ipso facto revealed yourself as a anti-White genocidalist. Are you a anti-White genocidalist? Answer me, now.

  19. Second to last sentence in the second paragraph should read: “… they know very little about genetics, development, the brain etc. except for some shopworn …”

Oh, I don’t know. It seems they have YOUR brain figured out pretty well, Marxist retard. Hey Cleo, here’s a little hint if you want anyone to take you seriously. Try using PARAGRAPHS in your reply next time.

I understand many think it’s a sign of intelligence to be able to write in a coherent fashion.

  20. “Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.

The Netherlands and Belgium are more crowded than Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.
Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.

What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?

How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?

And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?

But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews

They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.

    Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.”

  22. So, simply recognizing the reality that there are such things as genetic racial differences and saying that white people should not be discriminated against makes you a “white supremacist” who supports the Holocaust? Thank you for reminding me of why I am no longer a Republican. I can’t believe someone who supposedly has a Phd could write such drivel and think that it is a convincing argument.

  23. It’s so surreal to accuse Ms. Brown of secretly supporting an anti-white holocaust while touting authors who deny the real holocaust.

The most disappointing legacy of the Bush administration is that he left the door open for these jokers.

  25. Racism is a form of insanity. Yes, we all have false ideas and prejudices, to varying degrees, about other groups of people. But the people who think about, and especially fret over, racial superiority and genetic inferiority? They’re nuts. They also don’t have enough to do. Life’s hard enough without that meaningless noise.

Also, there’s not a chance in the world that IQ tests aren’t completely and totally culturally biased. I score very high on IQ tests, and I find them meaningless.

I did get a good chuckle out of the commenter who called someone, maybe Ms. Brown, a “Marxist retard,” cited Wikipedia as a source for the wrong word, obviously can’t navigate Wikipedia’s disambiguation pages, and thought he made a scathing attack by using the word “Ebonics.”

I guess people like that need to look up the word “irony.” Also the word Arian, not Arianism: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryan_(disambiguation) (since he likes Wikipedia so much). I quote: “Arian (disambiguation), with several meanings, including a former (16th-18th century) spelling of Aryan.”

Would the racists’ heads explode if they understood the true origin of the word “Aryan?”

  26. Katy,

“Also, there’s not a chance in the world that IQ tests aren’t completely and totally culturally biased. I score very high on IQ tests, and I find them meaningless.”

I am not sure what tests you took, but the psychometric literature on IQ tests is pretty strong. And their validity is generally accepted. Just a few days ago, (April 3rd, “Start-Ups, Not Bailouts” ) Thomas Friedman in the Nytimes was praising High IQ risk takers. Further the link between IQ and genes is also strong. For example, a recent UCLA study (March 17, “Study gives more proof that intelligence is largely inherited”) supported the hypothesis that certain types of cognitive processing are highly heritable. Together the notion that IQ tests test differences that have a strong genetic etiology is well supported; in fact it is the mainstream opinion in the field.

Part of the confusion comes from the fact that intelligence is a rather imprecise term and as Cleo mentions there are plenty of people who artfully try to make valid research say what supports their agenda.

    Cleo,

Let me explain the idea I defend and why. This is how I would characterize the Hereditarian Hypothesis:

“According to the Hereditarian Hypothesis, some interpopulation intellectual performance differences in the US and abroad have a partial genetic etiology. A crude interpretation of this would be that there are more smart people in some given populations, than in another. Naturally, we are not talking about some populations being smarter across the board; we are talking about average propensities. Individual genotypes are not directly communicable across populations, as individuals do not infer qualities to groups and back down to other members. My being born did not make my family or others of my specific and our general population less smart or less stupid. What I say or what I communicate might, since culture, or memotype, is directly communicable, but genes are not.”

While this position could be abused, I do not see it as racist, in itself. I am, of course biased in my opinion; I have been fighting off a relentless neurological disease, which predisposes me to not see genes or intelligence as measures of the mark of my worth. This leads me to be more liberal in my discussions — and I often forget how other people see these things. In addition, having been well educated like yourself; when I consider such differences, I do so in terms of statistical averages across groups, not some crude 18th century modes of thought. Nor do I worry about the abuse. It’s fairly obvious to me that those in the media could make these distinctions if they wanted to, and educate the public as to the terms of the discussion, and what is in fact in appropriate to think, but rather they choose not to. They find it convenient to leave to whole subject taboo, and inadvertently perpetuate the notion that if their were differences this would imply a rank of being.

At the same time, I am biased in my political agenda. I strongly identify with European culture and my identified ethnos. In addition to being somewhat hostile to what I perceive as a condescending intellectual elite. I see Post-European liberals and leftists, attacking that identity, and of course numerous peoples who identify strongly with their own ethnos, some of whom have just grievances and others who are just playing the game.

One constant refrain is Black and Hispanic underachievement — and that is used here and it is used abroad. Persons of subSaharan African descent, on average, suffer from a similar achievement gap in South Africa, Brazil, and Britain as they do in the US, this makes claims about ‘racism’ suspect. (refer to: We’ll change black Britain, March 17, 2010 in: Guardian; ). To me this shows that there is likely some endogenous genetic factor; though I don’t mean this in a deterministic sense.

And were the issue treated in more delicate manners with ‘racism’ not always assumed as the cause for this achievement gap, then I would say nothing. But as it is, ‘racism’ is assumed. Which, to you, may seem fair — but given the supposed severity of the charge, seems unwarranted to me, unless other possibilities are explored.

I suppose since I actually do identify with my ethnos, unlike some, I take these accusations seriously.
And since I take them seriously, I expect them to be well supported, which quite often they are not. Since through my ethnos, I am already classified as racist, by virtue of differences found — it really means little to me to say that discussing their actual etiology is ‘racist,’ Let alone the bizarre idea that it is national socialistic.

  27. “Your comments, however, seemed so defensive in support of bio-diversity and the negative manner in which bio-diversity research is used (i.e. culturally biased IQ Data)”

    Cleo,

I am not sure what you mean by culturally biased. On some level I agree they are, but in the sense that the tests capture something historically rather relatively valuable to Europeans, given the way European frame things, and not in the sense that they test culture specific facts, If they are culturally biased, they are culturally biased in the way that a marathon might be as compared to a sprint or a game of chess is as compared to a game of Go. But that’s just to say that European culture is biased, which it surely is. As that’s what it means to have a particular culture.
