Stefani Carter: Candidate for Texas State Representative

homeimg_03This months HHR Candidate Spotlight is Stefani Carter.

Carter a former Collin County prosecutor and Harvard Law School graduate recently announced her candidacy for a Texas State Representative seat. The seat  includes Richardson, Lake Highlands and Garland. Stefani will face two formable opponents in the primary and the general election.

In order for her to get to stage one she will need to knock out her GOP primary opponent Geoff  Bailey, who according The Dallas Morning News works for Texas billionaire T. Boone Pickens. Mr. Bailey who is also a Conservative is deeply connected to higher ups in Party. His website states that he worked at the White House, in Vice President Dick Cheney’s office. He also went on to work for Rudy Giuliani in his campaign for the Presidency.

If Stefanie Carter is able to win her primary race, the next challenge will be running against the Democrat incumbent Rep. Carol Kent. Representative. Kent has a strong fundraising background and according to The Dallas Morning News “defeated a fellow incumbent “Democrat” Rep. Tony Goolsby, who had held the seat for 20 years.

  1. I hope you win,because even though I am from Mo. I just moved here 5 months ago, but I see that there not enough Blacks in office. I hope to oneday become a council member in Johnston County oneday. Please pray for me Mrs. Carter. I hope you win,but since my wife is sick and its hard for me to vote and leave by her self.
