“Hip Hop Republican” Lenny McAllister to appear on “Tell Me More” on NPR

image0027“Hip Hop Republican” and rising political commentator Lenny McAllister will appear on National Public Radio’s “Tell Me More” this Monday to talk about the 1-year anniversary of Barack Obama’s historic election to the presidency as the first African-American president.

Recently featured on WVON in Chicago, XM Radio, Newsmax TV, and CNN’s “Young & Black In America: Empowering the Next Generation of African American Leaders,” McAllister continues to speak out on the transition needed within communities and politics to turn around the issues facing the country. McAllister’s reflection on the 2008 election provides a unique perspective that the author of “Diary of a Mad Black PYC (Proud Young Conservative)” yields as a young Black Republican that is openly active within urban communities addressing issues including teen violence and domestic violence.
