By HHR | October 12th, 2009 | Category: Campaigns, Featured, General | 3 comments
Will Hurd was born in San Antonio to Robert and Mary Alice Hurd. He is the youngest of three siblings. Growing up he attended Leon Valley Elementary School, Rudder Middle School and John Marshall High School. He showed an early interest in public service while in High School where he was involved in a number of civic organizations. Early on Will learned and experienced the value of hard work as a delivery person, warehouse worker and receptionist for his parents who started a small business that served San Antonio and greater South Texas. Through his participation on the Basketball team and community work he was voted the Homecoming King his final year at Marshall.
Will went on to attend Texas A&M University in College Station where he studied Computer Science. Will was very active in student life and served as the President of the Memorial Student Center which required Will to oversee operations of a 5.6 million dollar organization comprised of about 6,000 student volunteers. Will won his first public election while in college, and served as the Student Body President of Texas A&M. He was the representative of 45,000 students and worked with the University Administration, Faculty and Staff to improve the quality of life for all members of the Aggie Community.
Upon graduation, Will moved to Washington, DC to join the National Clandestine Service of the CIA. For the last nine years Will has been an Operations Officer and his primary mission was to collect and disseminate foreign intelligence to assist The President and senior government policymakers in making decisions relating to national security. He has served primarily in South Asia. Will has recently returned from overseas and is thinking about continuing his public service by running as a Republican candidate for a U.S. Congressional seat. Your financial support is crucial to spreading this message, and is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations Will! I am Jerilan and Janiece Greene’s mom. They attended Leon Valley Elementary and Marshall H.S. with you. Perhaps you remember. I know that your parents are very proud of you. Good Luck!
I am putting together debates by candidates in September. Are you interested in debating your opponent?
