Update – RNC Chairman Steele at Howard University – CSPAN

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele held a “Freedom Tour” town hall meeting with students at Howard University. During the forum, Chairman Steele expressed his views on the latest political issues and discussed how those issues affect college students.

HHR blog just got news that RNC Chairman Michael Steele is visiting Howard University the nations premire black univeristy (founded by Republicans) The College Republican Chapter is having a Town Hall meeting next Tuesday with Chairman Steele on its campus in Washington,DC. According to HHR sources he will be coming for an open dialogue with the students not only at Howard but the DC community at large. It will be September 1st, 2009 at 6:30pm in the West Ballroom in the Armour J. Blackburn Student Center which is the Student Center on Howard Universities Main campus in Washington DC.

Below are a list of black schools and colleges that were founded by Republicans, Howard University the actual name is after General Oliver Howard a well known Republican. It should be noted however that may of these schools were pushed by north eastern captalist known as The Radical Republicans a small but commited band of activist Republicans who wanted to use goverment to prevent Democrat southerners from expanding its racist policies.
