The Politics of Racism: The Case Against Intra-Racial Group Think

Hello there HHR readers! I told myself and Richard that I was taking a break from politics and instead doing fun fluff pieces. I have been doing just that and enjoying it for the last few weeks. The only thing that was going to make me write was if something big happened. Well nothing particularly big happened, except for wild and moving town halls on healthcare and their participants being accused of various things such as being angry mobs of racist republican organizers when really they are just the sleeping giant of ignored constituents (Go! Sleeping Giant, Go!).
In the last week however, I stumbled across a blog. It was random and posted by an anonymous blogger. Now normally something like this would not prompt me to write anything. I would usually scoff it off but I realized that what this person said is actually significant. I hate to give importance to someone this willfully ignorant but it is necessary because of the issue. The issue is about how Black Republicans and Conservatives think. The blogger “goldenae” makes a large part of their point in the title “Black Republicans/Conservatives Have Mental Vitiligo”. A friend of mine compared it to the classic “Oreo” reference. To me Oreos are a delicious snack, if not a funny politically incorrect joke, but mental vitiligo is just another way of saying black republicans are somehow out of touch with other blacks and trying to be white. That much is clear from the article.
Now firstly I want to touch on this notion of trying to be white. I cannot tell you the countless times in my early youth that I heard that reference because of the way I spoke, and the way I approached issues. But what is “trying to be white” is it speaking English properly with a standard American accent? Is it choosing to immerse oneself in their education? Is it striving to take on personal responsibility instead of falling into a doomed pattern of entitlement based on blaming “the white man”? I doubt that is trying to be white. Race has nothing to do with that. That is trying to be a responsible individual and proactive citizen. I am proud to be part of a group who thinks that way. That’s not trying to be white; it’s striving to be right.
The author of the article closes with this “I personally believe that sufferers of Mental Vitiligo believe that if they take every opportunity to attack the Black community or defend attacks against the Black community, they will be more accepted in society. They fail to realize that their actions only serve to feed the prejudices that some people have.” They name several authors and their book titles as examples to uphold their argument though they obviously have not read the material. Stupid Black Men by Larry Elder and Bamboozled by Angela McGlowen being two of them. What the author fails to realize is how these authors talk about how liberal politics fail the black and frankly, all American communities time and time again.
The social and economic policies of the left breakdown family structures and purposely put large obstacles in the way of self improvement through proper education and financial stability. Liberal policies and think tanks have the continued deterioration of the black family structure which contribute to 70% of us being born out of wedlock into homes with single mother’s and a lack of financial security simply from the absence of a second income. And such incomes are hard to come by because of the overtaxing of businesses mostly small businesses, not huge corporations, who cannot handle the tax burden and therefore take on fewer employees damaging job opportunities on a widespread basis. This is crippling to the American economy considering the fact that small businesses employ 70% of Americans. These are issues I have explained in my HHR articles “The Black Excuse” and “Conservatism is Compassionate”.
The author also makes another tragic mistake. That is the mistake of willful ignorance. To be perfectly frank the author of the article is operating under racism. I know that seems like a really big and serious accusation, but I can back it up. They seem to think that in order to truly be member of the black community we all must think and act the same way, because we are black. This is racist. It’s the same line of thinking that the Ku Klux Klan operates on. It’s the same line of thinking Nazi Germany made policy on. It’s the same line of thinking perpetuated by Black Panthers, and the people who made the policies of Apartheid and even political groups La Raza. The assumption that there must be intra-racial aligned group-think is essentially racist. The best possible thing humans can do is to educate themselves and explore the intellectual world around them in an effort to be independent thinkers, not drones programmed to think one way, and act one way and even vote one way based on race. And the most interesting thing about the racists amongst us is that all racists are from all races, just like the author who accuses black conservatives of exactly what he/she is dappling in. If that is not irony I don’t know what is.

“They seem to think that in order to truly be member of the black community we all must think and act the same way, because we are black. This is racist.”
Bingo!
In many ways I disagree with this article; although I do not identify as a Liberal or Conservative. In any event, the many times I was “critical” of the black community- my criticism had merit. I desire more for my people, a better way of life, education, self- respect, independence etc. My biggest pet peeve with our community is the need to “just go with the flow,” especially when Black officials “dangle” propaganda in our faces and we jump on the bandwagon without any common research. For example, President Obama has presented ‘opportunities” using his “infamous” rhetoric, and without reproach we as a community accept it with praise without dissecting the matter at hand. I don’t agree with extremist who use the “Me against them” theory in an attempt to destroy the creditability of the opposing side. I think it’s ill mannered and selfish. There’s no real fervor for the subject being debated, just egos flaring. In most cases, both far left and far right are causing more damage than good.
I don’t believe you can categorize Conservative blacks, as people who down their own people in exchange for social acceptance. To the contrary, I believe people who do not stand up for their civil rights, yearn for acceptance. Those people who “jump on wagons” thrive off of social dependency. They would rather, relinquish their “uniqueness” and keep the peace than to “test the waters.”
It’s blatant that there is a separation in the black community which has been potent prior to the “Conservatives vs. Liberals” brouhaha. Until we are able to reach a medium ground, and find a level of respect for one another we will continue to experience social division in our community.
Its definitely not about race, nor politics. It is spiritual. Always has been.
Obama may be thinking he is doing the best thing for “his” people. But he’s doing nothing new that Socialist have not tried to do since Marx first stepped on stage rejecting God and introducing Communist Manifesto. A religion for atheist, psuedo-intellectuals and career academics.
The rage and anger that percolates in poor communities is a spiritual problem. The Socialist, Communist and now the Democrats turned far left socialist today search for that rage and anger, piping it in, and twisting it for their own power and corruption of ultimate control and in many ways a vision of their “utopia.”
You can tell by their language and who they associate with. The vision is ultimately a bureaucratic elite. Socialism or Communism-lite is not about caring for the poor. Due to all of men’s greed, whether white, black, red, rich or poor, liberal or conservative, a large government force always turns into tyranny.
The government was never intended by the Founding Fathers to be a solution to all people, less all people become slaves to the government.
They also knew that our nation’s freedoms and liberties depended upon, indeed stood upon the Judeo-Christian value system and that without morals, our nation would fall.
Tyranny exist where God is rejected. Eventually, all successful nations succomb not to outside power, but fail and falter due to inside corruption and immorality.
We are on the brink of that failure if we cannot take back our rights as individual citizens. Steps to take back our rights.
1) Eliminate Corporate Control of Broadcasting networks. Demand ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox be broken apart from their corporate owners of GE, Universal, Disney and 21st Century Fox. Right now, news does not challenge the corruptions of our society anymore because they are owned by the Corruption.
2) Take back our Education of our children. Demand Freedom of School Choice as allowed by our Founding Fathers. They founded this nation by actually paying for and distributing bibles to schools so that children would have a moral compass. Note that I said “choice” in schools. If atheist or humanist, secularist, want their children attending secular schools - great! They can still attend the failing schools. But, if parents desire the choice of sending children to schools that teach moral principles from the Bible, that is their choice. This choice was eliminated by the ACLU - an enemy of our nation from its founding. Bring back school choice. Afterall, parents pay for the schools with their hard earned money. The ACLU or atheist have no more rights than religious people. Currently the religious people are discriminated against illegally under the constitution.
3) Michael Steele and the Republicans must find strong, independent minded and spiritual leaders well respected in the poor communities to run for office. Stop being afraid of Democrats. And start bolding telling the truth about why our nations inner cities are failing. It has nothing to do with racism, money or power. It has everything to do with morals, low expectations and keeping people poor and angry. Dividing people by color and ethnic background and history.
4) Find ways to stimulate each neighborhood for small business and entrepreneur classes, loans and most of all security for the children and families from street to street. Get people together to protect themselves from the drug pushers, porn pushers and alcohol pushers. Do it neighborhood by neighborhood. Identify the bad, build up the good, create neighborhood associations that are supported by lawyers to get thugs out of their communities.
5) Early intervention. Children with bad parents need special help. To break the cycle, offer incentives to both parents and children instead of jail time for young children under 18. Choose best practice, best results programs that are known to work around the nation. Implement them by neighborhood agreements, so little Johnny or Jamal are introduced to the neighborhood elders not as enemies, but as elderly extra fathers and mothers, families, older brothers, sisters, who watch for them and keep bad people away. Strict discipline, education, moral teachings - thats right, Thou shall not steal, or break the law… or hurt others.
All of this is not forced upon any community. The only way it succeeds is if it is a voluntary program. Freedom and liberty never come by government or by forced socialization. People must want to create their freedoms and must buy into the programs. It means a whole new approach by communities in coordination with police, schools, etc. It means teaching simple task about how to be married, how to be a man.
Today, the main reason our society is breaking down is young boys without fathers and without appropriate role models are learning to 1) cheat, 2) be uncivil and angry, 3) have sexy with any girl, get her pregnant, then dump her for an abortion, 4) then blame society for all of their mistakes, instead of taking responsibility, 5) they deserve to have everything free, but there is no free lunch. Someone in society always pays.
Eventually, due to moral rot and immoral leaders, societies break down. Babylon, Israel, Rome, Greece, Germany, Russia, China, Cuba, Venezuela, Sudan… well the list goes on and on. When there are no morals in society, Tyrants step in and take control.
Both parties are guilty of gluttenous waste, corruption, overspending, bad decisions and debt creation.
There is no more room for many more mistakes for this nation. We either pull together now, demand moral leadership, or we all lose, all of us. Color does not matter when a nation falls. Its ugly, its bloody and it is unpredictable who will step up from the ashes to lead again. Men become so arrogant as to think their nation will never fail or come under the thumb of radicals and tyrants. But history teaches us the truth. That all nations eventually fall, that all nations experience upheval and revolutions.
We could very well be on the brink of disaster within a few short years if all Americans do not step up together and put our past behinds us, forgive, and fight for liberty.
I hope and pray enough of us realize what is happening to our nation. We cannot sustain the debt crisis that is building up under the current Congress and Administration. Healthcare will be the last thing on our minds if our nation fails.

To Joshua:
Plenty of tyranny exists with God. Look at the history of Christianity in the US. How many slave owners went to church? The Pilgrims came here because of the tyrrany of the Church of England. Religion is neutral. It can be either good or bad, depending on who uses it.

America has always voted based on race. Remember Negro Black America did not even have the right to vote? When they were give the right - suddenly it became racist to vote for one’s group self interest from the city to the fed level. Take a good look around - all the first and second and third generation European immigrants to America immediately organized all types of organizations to secure power for their groups. European immigrants and their sons and daughters have always circled the wagons for self interests - Asian, so called Hispanics, people from the Pakistan and India all circle the wagons to gain and protect self interests and get as large a piece of the American pie as they can. After the elimination of the American Indian the only other competitor for the pie was the freed African slaves and their descendants - Negro Black Americans which includes any persons having a drop of blood of an African slave are not immigrants -
