HHR’s Lenny McAllister on CNN.com’s Blogger Bunch Discusses the Republican Party & Race
By HHR | July 9th, 2009 | Category: General, HHR Contributors | No Comments »Political and social activist Lenny McAllister will appear on www.cnn.com/live today as part of “The Blogger Bunch” that will discuss whether the Republican party have an image problem in relation to race.
The roundtable discussion will begin online at www.cnn.com/live at 12 noon EST (11 AM CST).
“People wonder why I am a Republican. I believe in promoting the best of the party,” McAllister said in a statement, “and not focusing just on the worst of it. People such as Sean Conner, Kyle Suggs, Tony Leatherman, and Princella Smith understand that as Black Republicans, we have an obligation to ensure that the coming generations of the GOP reflect the best of the history of Lincoln’s America and his legacy within the GOP, not the worst of his times.”
