More from Yesterdays "Black Republican Forum"

by Richie

I me Lt Allen West while entering into the front door of the facilities of the Women's Republican Club. While I was taking pictures he happened to be right in front of me and I simply said "Hey Lieutenant I am from the blog HipHopRepublican" and immediately he smiled and said thanks for the support. He must have heard a bout the blog because we have often highlighted his career here.

For those of you who are not familiar with Lt. Army Allen West he is an Iraq War veteran who was hammered by the media for demanding answers from a terrorist who had just killed one of our boys. The terrorist refused to give Allen the information despite repeated request. Allen in order to prevent more attacks later shot a few rounds near him to scare him...guess what it worked and American solders lives were spared...until the liberal media began accusing him of war crimes. Anyway way the Lt. West is now taking his fight for a security to the U.S. Congress where he is running for Florida's 22nd Congressional District seat.

Lt. Colonel Allan West

Here is an article from Wikipedia regarding the details of the District-The seat is presently held by Rep. Ron Klein who was elected in the 2006 House election in Florida's 22nd congressional district, defeating 13-term Republican incumbent Clay Shaw. He took office on January 4, 2007

The 22nd district encompasses the coastline of South Florida from northern Broward County to the northern end of Palm Beach County, with a long finger jutting out into the northeastern part of Palm Beach county and another finger encompassing Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, and Coconut Creek. Also included in the district are the towns of Oakland Park and part of Cooper City.

The district was created after the 1990 Census. Republican E. Clay Shaw, Jr. was elected in the first election for the district in 1992 and was subsequently reelected for six terms until he lost to Democrat Ron Klein in the 2006 election.
The 22nd district was the center of the disputed 2000 presidential election in Florida and the ensuing Florida election recount, which was shut down in the middle of counting of the Supreme Court in Bush v. Gore. The official count had the district narrowly voting for Al Gore.

In the 2004 presidential election, 52 percent of the votes cast in the district went for John Kerry.

I briefly and talked with him a bit. He is indeed an American patriot any mother whose child is with him on the war field will sleep relatively calmly knowing he is in charge.I met him and talked for a short time and wished him success in his campaign. After speaking to him I took my computer and began to take some notes regarding his topics of focus. Before speaking to the audience he applauded three young ROTC members who had joined the forum. He began his talk on the historical significance of building up our nations border and explained how ancient Rome lost much for this failure. He later went on to speak on the talking the dangers of radical Islamist movements and there ability to attack this nation and what we must do to defend ourselves.

He also mentioned from a "security argument" the potential harm that can come from so called "sanctuary cities" Colonel West mentioned that such cities fail to grasp the harm done to the long term residents who have been there for year. He noted that the greatest economic disadvantages in job loss are directed at mostly black and poor communities. Cornell West also highlighted how many emerging gangs like MS13 have created turf wars and a potential urban nightmare for major cities across the county. In ending his talk he effectively tied our nations economic health and interest with the overall security of our country.

Now the panel is applauding the young solders who are in the audience ironically they all happen to be Hispanic. Also speaking afterwards was Dr .Deborah Honeycutt is up. WOW. This brilliant brash, the doctor is a proud Republican and she will be the first African American female Republican congressperson. I am listening to her and she is inspiring. Apparently, my first impression is spot on because Hip Hop just gave me an article and it appears Honeycutt is strategically poised to become the the Republican Party what Obama is for the Democrats - an historic political star. She is running in the 13th District in Gerogia and she is electric....

The next person I will focus on in Princella Smith from American Solution's she gave an empowering and moving speech regarding energy and civil rights...so stay tuned for that tomorrow.

Times have changed and the parties have changed roles, why is it so hard for Black Republicans to accept this fact and keep dwelling in the past about those racist Democrats back then and that presently the racists are now in the Republican Party. The question to ask yourself is why did the parties changed roles. Educate us on that. Lastly, we weren't born Republican, Democrat or Independents, we were born Black and will die Black, we can change parties all want but our race will never change, so we should learn to accept each others differences yet at the same time learn to stick together and realize that a negative word against Obama is a negative word against ourself, a vote against Obama is not a vote against a Democrat, it's a vote a Black man and a vote that says we as Black people are still not quite good enough yet unless we are a Black Republican running for President. It's bad enough when white people view us as that, but it worse when we do it to ourselves, to me it's just another form of Black on Black crime. If millions of Hispanics, Whites and other races accept us to the point that they are willing to vote for one of us, then who am I as a Black person to vote against someone of my own race. The "I Have a Dream" speech that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr gave when I was just 2 months old is finally coming true, and I along with many others of our race is going to be a part of it. You can be a part of it as well or separate yourselves because of your party affiliation and dwelling in the past.

My dear anonymous friend,

My 4 young boys, who are too young to register, know that Obama is not the best choice for this country. They understand that we should pick the best person, not by race, but by the content of their character. A value Dr. King held in high esteem. I stumbled upon this blog because, quite frankly, my husband and I are trying to groom our boys to be the next sitting senators. Not because they are black, but because they are well on their way to becoming qualified, God fearing (and God following) young men. They watched the DNC with much excitement and they are fans of Obama. Just not his political fans. You see, we do not endorse homosexual marriage, union and what not. We do not endorse abortion. That is genocide. We are the socially conservative Black folks who would have LOVED to see Colin and Condi run as the total Republican ticket. My dad felt as if I , and my older brother, were betraying Black folk when we registered Rep. We felt like the Dem. party left us, not that we left them. As time has passed, our political platforms have changed. We do not vote along party lines, but our belief system falls squarely upon the platform of the Republicans. Mind you, John McCain was not our pick -- we wanted Huckabee. But McCain espouses what we believe is best for America more so than Obama. While we love the Obama's ,we do not love their politics. BTW, even the Obama's believe in self reliance and responsibility. Therefore, that frees us to vote for whom we choose without betraying our people. Our people betray ourselves when we behave in a socially irresponsible manner and we make choices not caring about the consequences. Not just our people, but all people. The power we have to choose a candidate based on merit is what Dr. King wanted. Do not put the shackles on us willingly, fight to keep your voice, even if it is considered a scourge to others. Peace...

This is what I like. Republicans complained that Obama is a celebrity, well you have turned that around and created this immature no experience celebrity Palin. Who pompously holds her baby like a Trophy and marches her Daughter like a martyr. If you wouldn't vote her for President why for Vice President. She can't stand in a ROOM with Hilary and she will always be next to Obama even when he's in the White house.

THIS is about Experience and she is a wonderful and person/mother but not COMMANDER AND CHIEF MATERIAL.

She cut Special education funding in Alaska and she says she supports it - WRONG

She goes Alaska Independence Party's and she's suppose to be a patriot..

Obama has Experience as well as Biden.
He has youthful outlook to SAVE our Earth and country for the Future.

-Palin made a stab at him talking about what will he do after he saves the planet. WELL THATS OUR HOUSE!!!! Someone better save it so Alaska doesn't melt and she has Animals to Hunt and Kill!!
