NAACP May Take Out Southern Democrat For Perceived Racial Slur

Today, word comes that State Rep. Dartez (D-LA) may resign over an allegedly racist slur she made to a civil rights leader in Louisiana.Louisiana State Representative Carla Dartez [(D)] is considering resigning after allegedly referring to the mother of an NAACP president as "Buckwheat," a Houma newspaper reported Friday.



Buried at the bottom of the story, we learn that Dartez (D) has other problems in her re-election bid. In September, Dartez (D) hit a pedestrian with her car. In the same month, her husband was charged with employing and harboring illegal aliens.


With Rep. Jefferson's (D-LA) well-known corruption ($90,000 of marked bills in his freezer and using Katrina relief equipment to get his bribe money out of his house after the storm) and the Louisiana Democrats corrupt history, it is not really a surprise to find a Democrat with questionable character running here.

The state representative election is on November 17th between Dartez and Republican Joe Harrison. The jungle primary gave Dartez 44% and Harrison 36% with other Ds splitting the other 20%.



The local head of the NAACP, a former Dartez (D) supporter, has said:"he has now informed Dartez he is no longer supporting her. "I will do everything in my power to see that she's not re-elected"
