King of Spain to Chavez: Shut up.

The king of Spain told Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to "shut up" Saturday during a heated exchange at a summit of leaders from Latin America, Spain and Portugal.
"Former President Aznar was democratically elected by the Spanish people and was a legitimate representative of the Spanish people," he said, eliciting applause from the gathered heads of state.Chavez repeatedly tried to interrupt, but his microphone was off.Spanish King Juan Carlos, seated next to Zapatero, angrily turned to Chavez and said, "Why don't you shut up?"The Venezuelan leader did not immediately respond, but later used time ceded to him by his close ally Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega to answer Zapatero's speech.
~Good for the King of Spain it was about time someone said it,everyone but American leftist know that Chavez is an egotistical moron. I guess the reply from the American left will be "but everyone knows who Chavez is, and no one cares about the king of Spain" which means when translated popularity makes tyranny okay to the King of Spain Muchas Gracias!

Hi. I just found your blog online. I'm a democrat of color but after much thought I've already logged onto the RNC website and decided to switch parties. Enough is enough!
If Marcus Garvey were alive today I bet he'd be a Republic. Why is that? Well as the Polish say "Self Help Is The Best Help". 50+ years of voting democratic has got us were?
Anyway, I would have to very much disagree with you about Chavez. This man rocks! I've been to Venezuela personally and I don't rely on popular media to get my information. Just like I was surprised to learn that Eisenhower (a Republican) was more progressive in many ways than Kennedy when it comes to Civil Rights, don't right off Chavez because of what you read in the American press.
The man is doing something for Africa (I happen to be half native African and I have lived in several African countries and I know what I am talking about).
Chavez learned alot from his father and grandfather (incidently who were both black) about self help and learned from people like Marcus Garvey. Yes he is egotistical but no more so than some the traditional left of center politicians in America who are accepted by the mainstream. All this rubbish about Chavez being a tyrant is not true.
He's created programs that support working people empowering themselves through business development vs. handouts (and anyone else willing to work hard vs. rely on their skin color or family names to get opportunities). He's doubled the amount of the Venezuelan budget spent on Education.
This is not all of course. But I would hope that you know something about American media to understand that one can't always get a fresh perspective from the 6 o'clock news.
At any rate, I'll be visiting the blog again and getting more insights, I hope.
