Real Word Denver..Racist?

While I do hate most things on the tube I do on occasion watch MTV's show The Real World.The other night me an my friend Sanj got into a debate about whether Real World Denver had racist undertones .

I made the argument that the show did have some, but the more I thought about it this episode will be defined by race.

First for those who have never heard of the program it is a reality television program originally produced by Mary-Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray.

Basically the show focuses on the lives of seven diverse strangers who audition to live in a house together for several months, as cameras record their interpersonal relationships, with the show moving to a different city each season. This season the show is in Denver, Colorado and the cast is pretty diverse two black guys,one gay guy and three females and one white guy.

I am sure the retards at MTV in order to make the show spicy provoked some dramma by putting the gay guy in the house with a black born again evangelical.

Not to mention that the gay guy has a habit of pissing people off after he reveals his sexual orientation. According to him his mother is nothing more than a religious bigot and he has had a terrible childhood because of being gay.

The religious guy whose name is Stephen at some point gets into an argument with Davis the gay guy (who I will refer to for now own and throughout the eposdie as "KKK Gay Davis") about his sexuality. While the cameras tried to make Davis out to be a religious nut the truth of the matter is that he was responding to Davis's views about his church's teachings on homosexuality. Stephen and KKK Gay Davis did however eventually make up.

What bothers me about the show is that the two black guys seem not to have played a great role in the fun things that were going on in the house. The one straight white guy Alex has hooked up with every girl in the house so far, he also showed very little interest on making friends with the two black guys.

One of the girls in the house tells "KKK Gay Davis" that she "would never"hook up with the two black guys. She never explains why just that she would never do it "KKK Gay Davis" after screaming about being oppressed failed to question his new friend as to why she should would never hook up with the two black guys.

Anyway the next part of the Real World shows KKK Gay Davis calling Stephen the "N" word at a bar. Stephen leaves the bar very angry but some what confused.

The episode will begin next week with some one being thrown out of the house, my guess is one of two black guys for some stupid violent reaction from being provoked.

This entire show was set up to produce tension with these two guys one for his faith the other for his anger a plus not neglecting the envy and jealousy of watching a gay racist having more fun with the ladies than they did.

If MTV wanted drama they got it big time, what this show does exemplify is that racism exist on the left just as it does on the right.

The oppressed gay men can be racist as the boran again Evangelical .

But whats evenmore sad is in the end because so many o black folks have to use our fist at every hostile situation, we find ourselves either behind jail or getting kicked off some stupid reality show.
