Respones to Rep. Cynthia McKinney

She's made a complete idiot out of herself and black people in general. By playing the race card over some s*** that SHE did (you don't smack a cop, what the hell is wrong with you) she makes it really touch on people when racism actually happens.

I'm getting tired of people hollering racism every time something doesn't go their way, usually after they do some stupid crap themselves. There are people who don't even know who the vice freakin' president is, why does she think all of a sudden she's worldwide like that? Everyone is supposed to just know who she is from the back after she changed her hair and got fat?I hope they throw the book at her.

She didn't make an idiot out of black people any more than Tom Delay made an idiot out of white people, her response speaks to her character not mine or ours.

The people I really feel sorry for are the ones in her district. They have NOTHING to show for her time in office.Shirley Chisholm is probably spinning in her grave over this.

I grew up in a time where there was rampant racism and bigotry in our country. Unfortunately I saw it up close, expressed by my parents and grandparents. It took a few years and a number of life experiences, but eventually I worked things out on my own and realized one should not judge by the color of anyone’s skin. Later in life, I watched all of my children grow up in a color blind society, attending learning institutions void of any sense of bigotry. I was amazed at how much had changed in such a relatively short period of time, and knew it was constructive for our country, our children, and our future.

When I see and hear the likes of Rep. McKinney it is very troubling. Racists bigots like her remind me of a world left behind so long ago. She, and people of the same ilk, stir the melting pot trying to convince us that nothing has changed in the last 50 years. She only awakens the memories of hatred and civil unrest from years gone by. Her baiting, finger pointing and racist remarks serve no good purpose. She should spend a day with my children, now all young adults, and get a bird’s eye view of how the world has changed and how bigotry has taken a back seat to impartiality.
