Bob Parks Campaign Update

Campaign update from Bob Parks - Massachussets (Mar 23)

I am honored to be a candidate, a Republican candidate a black Republican candidate... in of all places Massachusetts.

While most campaigns have their ups and downs this candidacy is complete with a lot of up side.

As a nationally syndicated columnist of four years, my positions are not only well known, but documented. Voters need not guess what my opinions are on a variety of topics.

They just need Google me and they'll not only understand those positions and the reasoning behind them, but my temperament on those issues.

Also as a columnist whose job it is to educate as well as entertain I'll never be one of those politicians who are unavailable for comment when topics get dicey.

I try to always have a position on any given topic and I'll never shy away from a fight because I fear poll numbers and thus my standing in the public eye.

Those of you who have read my work know I'll say what I mean, and those of you who know me professionally know I do what I say. Massachusetts is a project and I am in it for the long haul.

I look forward to giving the Democrats all they can handle here, and hope to inspire others to get involved and start to set our state in the right direction.

Drugs make doing nothing fun, young people dumb, and dumb people more dumb.

Why are these Drugs so prominent in the Black Community?...just look...
Forced environments based upon horribly devised 'Democratically controlled decisions for 50 years,Russel Simmons learning the 'game' and pimping his own people like Minstrels,Adults surrendering to hoards of inept children, and the strange habit of accosting 'success' in the Real World as 'selling out' as defined by Russel Simmons culture.....
Hell...White poeple are even worse...they have No excuse....
I am in a position to look out over the landscape from a lofty position, and the damage has mostly been done to the Black community...it couldn't get any worse.
On the other hand...the other shoe is about to drop, as Meth use among caucasions of every demographic from 'Po White Yellow toothed Trash', to 'Stressed out Soccer Mom' is about to reach inside of our nation and rip its guts out....
Blacks are usually busted in the 'classic cops' manner of Bustation...
Whites are usually busted in the 'classic news' manner of Bustation...
What to do? Legalize Marijuana...
Legal Weed cuts the knees out from under SO many first tier enterprises that result in more extreme drug use(white powders and pebbles).
Make it Mandatory that all Proven meth/crack/heroin/pill addicts mugshots will be made public, or even a program that Photographs drug users in a time-lapse manner so that they are Forced to see what they are doing to themselves and others that they aid in dangerous drug use.
Above all else... Try to make sure Frist and Rice run in 2008.

You can't penalize people economically. There has to be an element of shame brought back to the punishment but allows people to hold onto jobs and allows them to honor familly obligations.

Czarmangis was going in that direction. I would have these guys be put in chain gangs (minus the chains). Communitty service every weekend for 3, then 6 then 12 months. Something like that. Put em in those safety orange jumpsuits and have them go pick up the trash in THEIR neighborhoods.

Optional substance abuse counselling. And seriously, if they aren't smart enough to kick the habit by then they belong locked up in rehab or jail later on. Part of the reason so much drug use is out there is because of how stygmatized it is. Kids with seemingly little hope regard authority as a joke which is why they are so quick to take risks with their future. They don't give a sh*t. Once you take some of the severity out of the punishment you might get people to give the rationality of authority a second thought.

If we lighten up the laws you will take a lot of anger away from these kids. I agree that drug laws are one place we could be working on changing laws as a first step
