I think Hip hop is a valid free market billon dollar industry.
At the same time I hate when women are degraded,
and young black boys think hip hop is black culture..

First of all capitalism is based upon morality it is based upon the simple function of supply and demand, it is people who are moral or immoral.

People like child porn, why is it illegal to sell? Because we define the right of a child to be protected from exploitation as a greater good than the profit and economic growth that tolerating a legal child porn industry would give.

My point is this, because something is successful from a capitalistic perspective, doesn't mean that it is good for the consumer nor for the community at large.

Hip hop has degenerated into a commercialized vehicle of exploiting the imagine of the worst of blackness. We tolerate it, others use it to enrich themselves, and people who attack it get huaranged as folks who don't like free speech, hate the hood, don't understand what these people are trying to communicate etc.

It is all bullshit. Hip hop is a cancer that perpetuates and reinforces the worst steriotypes about us out there and it needs to die.
