NAACP stands by fired radio host..Whatever!

On his show, Radio Talk Show host David Lenihan said: "She's been chancellor of Stanford. She's got the patent resume of somebody that has serious skill. She loves football. She's African-American, which would kind of be a big coon. A big coon.

Oh my God. I am totally, totally, totally, totally, totally sorry for that."He said he had meant to say "coup" instead of the slur. KTRS president and general manager Tim Dorsey agreed that the remark was accidental but announced the same day that Lenihan had been fired.

St. Louis NAACP leaders said this morning that KTRS radio overreacted by firing host David Lenihan over a remark about U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. "This is an event that the press has blown out of proportion," said NAACP chapter president Harold Crumpton...


I wonder if Bush made such a slip about lets say ....Maxine Waters!

He would be impeached!

Riots would be all over the country, the NAACP shows its hypocrisy ounce again,
by remaing quiet while Condi is attaked.

We have not forgotten the Radio Host who said "Condi Rice is an Aunt Jemima".
The NAACP offical comment was it can't comment on the remarks until it hears them in its entirety. As usual when a black republican is targeted the NAACP
is no where to be found.

It took the Urban League to demand an apology!

Was this an unintentional slip of the tongue, or a fruedian slip?

I do how ever belive that the guy should not be fired, and he did make a mistake

From what I hear he is a respected Disc Jockey for Jazz on another station.

Also Condi Rice has accept his apology, so he should get his job back.

He should not be fired!
