Lou Rawls Dies

Spokesperson for Colonial Penn Lou Rawls has passed.
Silken-voiced crooner Lou Rawls, who started singing at age 7 in a gospel choir and grew into a beloved blues, jazz and R&B performer, died on Friday at age 72 after a battle with lung cancer, his spokesman said.
In December 2005, it was announced that Rawls was being treated for lung and brain cancer
Rawls enlisted in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division in 1955.
